Mercury in Corn Syrup

So there seems to be mercury in many samples of corn syrup. From what I understand we are talking “parts per trillion” which is pretty small. However I don’t like corn syrup anyways and would rather use sugar, so just more reason to avoid the stuff. For comparison when they talk about mercury in fish they talk “parts per billion”.
