Colored Polymer Clay Sculpting

Aunt Nora and Alice were in for a visit this weekend from California, so I ordered some polymer clay for an activity. I decided to try the Fimo brand of it instead of Sculpey since I had never used it. First thing Lou did was take inventory and stack em.

Then we opened them up, which was no easy task. It took just a couple seconds of smashing it in our hands or on the table to warm it up.

I started by doing a couple rocks and then the fun began. It was slow at first, but Alice really took the lead in trying to make things.

Lou got into it too, stacking the rocks into creatures. She asked Nora to make eyes for her.

Nora made a beautiful ladybug:

Which as soon as I photographed it the little Lou did this to it:

Nora was sad. So she sadly, while laughing, made another.

Which we quickly scurried off to safety from the squasher.

Now all that’s left is to bake em, which I’ll do tonight.
