We have a lovely set of simple blocks. I longed to get the kids more blocks so they would have more fun with the blocks.

A few months ago we got a huge bag of cube blocks. We added them to the simple blocks in a bigger basket. I noticed they weren’t playing with the blocks much. So this week I removed the 100 cube blocks and put them in the closet. I put their original blocks in the small box they used to live in and placed it under their table like it used to be.

And now block play is back.

So maybe there is such a thing as too many blocks.
