Child-led Decorating

I wasn’t planning on putting up any Halloween decorations, but Lou saw some flowers at the store and I told her to pick some out. She picked some orange and burgundy ones. We got home and she cut them up. Ero made bouquets too:

He liked to squash the flowers into the water. Alas.

Lou went outside and collected sticks to decorate too, which I put into a vase. I was surprised at how nice it looked.

The next day we took the sticks and some of the flowers and did some kind of strange game that involved making a mess on the floor.

The kids will be doing all of our future decorating.

I just envisioned our Christmas tree having all the ornaments on the bottom third of the tree. So let me rephrase: The kids will be doing most of our future decorating.
